商品説明中にありました「自然塗料」の内容を、もう少し詳しく教えていただけませんでしょうか？
以前、通販で木製のベッドや家具を購入して臭いがきつく大変気分が悪くなり、返品した経験があります。
おそらく塗料が原因かと思われますので、上記商品につきましても塗料を確認させていただきたくご連絡差し上げた次第です。

湿気による木の膨張について

本日、あってはならないことですが、お客様からクレームがありました。

内容は、ベッドのスノコがフレームの金具に当たって入らないというもの。

お話を聞くと、すのこの幅があと1・2ミリ短ければすんなり入ったとのこと。

上の写真の通り、すのことフレームの間はほとんど隙間が無いように作っています。

問題となるのは、木材の湿度による膨張と収縮です。
木は木材になっても生きていて、塗装などで塞いでない木材は、
湿気を吸ったり吐いたりします。

湿度が高いときは室内の湿気を吸い込み、
湿度が低いときは木材から湿気を放出し、
これで室内の湿度を調整してくれるのです。

通常、家具は十分に乾燥させて作成します。
木が収縮しているときに作成するわけです。

ですが、今の時期(梅雨時期など)になると、
木材が湿気を吸収し膨張したりします。

これは、無垢材のフローリングをご使用の方は実感いただけるのではないでしょうか。

特に、すのこに使われる桐材は、湿度が高い時期に
湿気がタンスの中に入らないよう膨張するので、密閉度が高まりやすい。
という特徴で着物タンスに重宝されています。

今回のケースは、乾燥時期に制作したスノコが
梅雨の湿気で膨張し、1・2ミリ膨らんで入らなくなったのだと思います。
お客様には新しいすのこを制作しお送りすることにしました。

今後はこういうことも想定した制作が必要だと工場と確認し、
次回生産からの参考にさせていただくようにします。

本文：お忙しいところ申し訳ありませんが、教えて頂きたいことがあります。
壁面収納と上置きとはジョイント等で固定するのでしょうか。
設置を考えている部屋は床から天井までは２４０ｃｍあります。賃貸のため、固定等はできない状態です。地震対策を考えると、上置きをプラスした方がよいと思います。また、転勤のための転居が多いため、上置きは簡単に外したり、つけたりできますか。

ご連絡遅くなりまして誠に申し訳ございませんでした。

グラッソ98壁面収納の上置きとのジョイントの件ですが、
ダボと言う木のクイのようなものと、コの字金具でジョイントされております。
取り外しは可能な状態ですので、引っ越しの際は取り外せます。
地震対策としては、やはり壁に固定をお勧めいたしますが、
上置きの隙間なくダンボール等挟み込まれた方が、なお良いかと思います。
